Introduction

Deep dish pizza is a variation of the classic Italian pizza with a very high and soft edge, and it is usually topped with cheese, tomato sauce and sausage. Let's see together how to prepare it at home!

Proceedings

Pour the flour into the bowl and add water, yeast and salt; gently knead the dough for about 15/20 minutes to make it elastic.

Cover the bowl with a cloth and leave it to rise in a warm place for about 5 hours.

Spread the dough into the pan until the edges are covered.

First add the diced mozzarella, then the salami or previously browned sausage/meat and lastly the tomato sauce.

Bake for about 35/40 minutes at 180°C. Once removed from the pan, add the grated Parmesan cheese and leave it to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
